Our credit union is committed to supporting our members and the community through charitable giving. Each year, we donate 1% of our net income to nonprofit organizations that reflect one or more of our corporate “Pillars of Giving,” which include:

• Homelessness & Housing
• Youth Development
• Healthy Lifestyles

This year, our Elements Cares Committee, in partnership with the Central Indiana Community Foundation, reviewed 16 grant applications and selected 6 organizations to receive funding to support their community projects.

Congratulations to our 2024 Grant Recipients:

$27,500 | Aspire Higher Foundation

Aspire Higher Foundation has transformed a historic firehouse into the Aspire House, serving as a connecting hub for the Near Northwest neighborhoods. In late spring 2024, Aspire House launched the RyZe Kitchen, which offers nutrition-focused cooking programs, health and wellness classes, and community gardens. With this grant, the foundation can sustain these programs and create part-time employment opportunities to support their ongoing success.

$10,000 | Firefly Children & Family Alliance

The Firefly Children & Family Alliance supports children and parents, helping Hoosiers overcome hardship and build stronger families and communities. This grant will help provide basic living necessities for youth and create more opportunities for physical activity, offering them healthy outlets to enhance their physical and mental well-being.

$10,000 | Grant County Rescue Mission

Grant Country Rescue Mission shelters hundreds of men and women every month and offers programs that equip them for independent living. This grant will enable the Mission to replace an air conditioning unit at the Grant Rescue Mission Open Heart Women’s Center, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those in need.

$10,000 | Outreach, Inc.

 Outreach, Inc.’s mission is to end youth homelessness by empowering youth ages 14-24 who are experiencing homelessness to achieve life transformation. This donation will help strengthen their mission by expanding current mental health services to include free onsite therapy for youth and enhanced mental health navigation assistance.

$10,000 | Prevail, Inc.

Prevail Inc. supports survivors of crime and abuse in healing from their traumatic experiences through Primary Prevention programs. Understanding that language and cultural barriers can hinder a victim's access to the help they need, this donation will enable Prevail to overcome these obstacles. By doing this, they can effectively communicate with individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have limited proficiency in English, giving them the necessary support.

$7,500 | Johnson County Community Foundation

The Johnson County Community Foundation is focused on staying engaged with the community. In 2021, they launched an Employer Resource Network, using success coach sessions to address personal and professional issues faced by employees. With this grant, the Johnson County Employer Resource Network will provide additional financial support for employees of participating member companies.
