Elements employees recently joined forces with DREAM Alive, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to mentoring vulnerable youth in Indianapolis, to conduct a series of summer workshops focusing on financial literacy and career readiness.
The workshops guided high school "scholars" to take charge of their future finances and career paths after they graduate.
At Elements, we value the opportunity to combine our employees' passion for volunteerism and financial education. Two groups of employees collaborated to offer the following courses:
Financial Literacy
Led by Financial Education Experts at Elements, 25 students participated in engaging activities centered around financial management and budgeting. The students gained valuable real-life insights, empowering them on their journey toward financial success.
Career Readiness
Our HR Team facilitated an engaging and productive workshop on resume building and interview skills for 20 students. The participants left feeling prepared to take their first steps towards their future careers.
Both workshops incorporated ice breaker games, thought-provoking discussion questions, and real-life perspectives to ensure an interactive and enriching experience for the students.
Youth Development stands as one of the three Pillars of Giving chosen by Elements' employees as an area of focus for our volunteerism and grant-making. By collaborating with organizations like DREAM Alive, Inc., we seek to create a positive impact on the lives of the future leaders of our community.
